By accident, the coal miners working there discovered that by leaning against a separation machine, they could get immediate relief from their aching backs and joints. The Wettlaufer Brothers were inventors using the separating machine as their starting point, the brothers developed a new form of ‘3-Dimensional Energy’ that is now known as Cycloid Vibration Therapy (CVT).
The potential of this life-changing form of therapy commenced being realised when Owen K Murphy, the founder of Niagara Therapy, stumbled onto it in 1948. Owen K Murphy founded the Niagara Medical Research Institute to fund research into the benefits of Cycloid Vibration Therapy (CVT). Dr John Mote was the first co-ordinator of research in CVT.
Dr Mote was a Chief Medical Adviser to the Allied Forces during WWII and is noted for his involvement with the discovery of cortisone and the birth control pill. Through Dr Mote, a great deal of research was conducted during the 1950’s. Dr William Edmondson, an expert in stress and relaxation, conducted research leading to the claims in these areas.
Dr Theodore Bayliss was the first Arthritis specialist to test CVT products and he became a world- renowned advocate of CVT for the treatment of arthritic and rheumatic pain as well as joint mobility.
Dr William Bierman, who was elected ‘Outstanding Physician of the Year in 1955, focused his attention on research into the Circulatory system, which led to claims regarding CVT on improving Blood and Lymphatic circulation.
