Barrel Racing

Barrel Racing is a rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to complete a clover-leaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. The barrel horse is predisposed to numerous musculoskeletal injuries because of the conditions and demands placed upon it (sudden speed, tight turns, and a rapid deceleration to negotiate the course).
