Pony Club

Pony Club is an International voluntary youth organization affiliated with The Worldwide Association of Young Riders, known as The Pony Club. Originating in Britain as a scheme to encourage young people to learn to ride, it focused on riding instruction and fun. It has now become the largest association of riders in the world.

Combining horsemanship and equestrian disciplines, pony club endeavors to provide a platform for young riders to enter competitions. The disciplines range from handling skills, dressage, showing, show jumping, x-country, dressage and games. Due to the variety of competitions, the pony or horse can become fatigued quickly. Unlike other equestrian pursuits, the ponyclubber will remain in the saddle for up to 8 hours in one day. Commonly the pony or horse would have limited training prior to the pony club rally days increasing the risk of musculoskeletal trauma following a competition.

Common recorded problems related to pony club horses that Equissage can help with are;
  • Behavioural problems due to muscle fatigue and stress
  • Negative reaction to palpation to the lumbar area
  • Loss of impulsion, refusing jumps or aggressive behaviour to others
  • Dehydration and weight loss

Equissage is a safe, easy to use, natural, non-aggressive and non-invasive way to effectively warm up and cool down your horse, prevent common issues, improve performance and maintain your horse in peak condition.

Voted “Best New Horse Product in the World” in 2000 BETA UK, Pony Club riders world wide love how Equissage provides a full body workout, equivalent to a 10km walk for their competition horse. Equissage gently penetrates through 4 foot of bone and 2 foot of tissue to provide the following benefits to Pony Club horses:

  • Increased blood flow, helps to warm up muscles before work, specifically around the joints to decrease the likelihood of sprains and strains
  • Improved lymphatic drainage to assist in the removal of lactic acid, speed up recovery, reduce fatigue and encourage water consumption
  • Relaxation of the muscles, especially around the neck, shoulders, back and lumbar, helping to unlock tension and reduce muscle spasm and relieve stress to promote willing behaviour
  • Improved joint mobility to help horse move more freely, increase length of stride and therefore improve performance

Equissage is an essential tool in improving the health and performance of horses in every stable.
